ID one USA: How did you get interested in Freestyle Moguls?

Bryon: My family would ski together every weekend. My Mom told me and my brother to watch the best skiers on the mountain and try to emulate them. When we skied at a little place called Lost Trail in Montana there was a group of skiers there that were just better than everybody else; we learned it was the freestyle mogul team. My brother and I would follow them and listen to tips and try to keep up. One day the coach, Tom Vineyard, asked if we wanted to ski with the team and learn how to ski moguls. I loved it and have loved it ever since.

ID one USA: What do you think the strongest aspect of your skiing is?

Bryon: I am a good jumper. I have a gymnastics background, which really helps with my body awareness.

ID one USA: Which ID one ski do you use and why do you love that ski?

Bryon: I ski on the 177 MR-SG. Right when I switched to this ski I instantly noticed how easy it made mogul skiing. I love its really narrow route through the rut line and how easy it is to get good back side pressure.

ID one USA: Who are some of your other sponsors?

Bryon: Material Sports, Inc. of Japan – the manufacturer of ID One Skis, sponsors me. Because of this, I’m now a part of ID one USA. We’re bringing these skis to the United States so more skies can experience the benefits of this great technology.

Deer Valley ResortOakleyBern HelmetZipFit Liners, and Cheeky Fly Fishing, also sponsor me.

ID one USA: If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Bryon: It would have to be pizza. It's delicious! Great for not only dinner & lunch but breakfast as well!

ID one USA: What's your favorite movie of all time?

Bryon: I go through phases (laughs). When I was younger I loved the Goonies. Anchorman is probably my favorite comedy. Shawshank Redemption is right up there too.

ID one USA: What is one talent or interesting tidbit that people might not know about you?

Bryon: I am an artist. I love to draw and have been doing it since I was a very young. I am also a Wood Sculptor (photo above) and a Painter.
